How to Improve Your Landscape Photography in Three Simple Steps

When it comes to capturing the beauty of the landscape, there is a lot to keep in mind.

You have to think not only the parameters of the camera you use, but you should also be aware of how to compose the shot as well.

With a lot of thought, you can make photography of a small landscape overwhelming, especially if you are a beginner.

However, there are simple steps you can take that will have an immediate and positive impact on your photos.

Let’s examine what you can do to improve your landscape photography.

Using a Remote Camera

Using a remote camera for landscape photography may not seem necessary, but believe me, it will improve your photos.

To start using a camera’s remote control, you can minimize camera shake and get sharper pictures.

More photos will be sharper, more will be clearer and the final image will be more enjoyable.

In addition, a camera allows you to escape the camera.

This is advantageous for several reasons …

First, it may be in the photo instead of behind the lens.

Second, taking a few steps back, it is possible to find a better perspective or point of view from which to shoot.

In other words, you can open up new creative possibilities for your photography.

However, depending on the remote control, your creative limits can be greatly expanded.

Take the pulse of the labs in the Alps as a perfect example.

This small device mounts to the camera shoe and gives you total control over your camera via the smartphone.

This means it can be up to 100 feet away and still control things like the diaphragm, shutter speed and ISO.

Even better, Pulse gives you the power to create wonderful videos, live videos and long-lasting expositions.

So instead of living in the still photography world, this remote control camera on the steroids you have in another creative space!

Get these horizons directly

There are many things that can go wrong in a landscape photo, but there is nothing as simple as a compensation horizon that can have a negative impact on the overall shot.

You can have everything else in the perfect picture – framing, lighting, focus, composition – but if the horizon is not quite right, guess what people will notice?

Unequal horizon …

This is a simple problem to solve.

You can get a tripod with a bubble level to help you keep these horizons right.

You can also use a mounted level shoe if you already have a tripod that has not been incorporated into the level.

When triggered on the handheld device, use the live view and activate the other rule grid to use as a guide for the level of your horizons.

They only serve to align one of the two horizontal lines with the horizon, and you’re ready to go!

Slow down and deal with a purpose

I understand the thrill of being in such a beautiful place that you want to photograph as many different perspectives as possible.

But hurry is not going to make your landscape photos favors.

Instead, if you want to improve the quality of the images, slow down and concentrate on the composition of the best possible photo.

One way to slow down, you can use a remote camera and a tripod.

It takes a few seconds to set up these accessories, and in a matter of seconds, you can look more closely at your surroundings and think about how you want to frame the shot.

Then, once you have set up your equipment, you can use what you have learned about the landscape to make better decisions about composition.

For example, you may notice a distraction in the foreground – such as a felled tree – that you want to frame the shot.

You can then take steps to move the magnification device to the object of harvesting the tree out of the image, or you can use a zoom to do the same.

The point is that instead of aiming and shooting very quickly, adopting a more measured approach, you can actually compose much more pleasing images while saving you some time after treatment as you do not have to do as many cultures or recovery .

Not a bad deal if you ask me!

Bonus: think about how the landscape will look at a different time
